Percy Jackson & The Olympians by Rick Riordan

If you love Greek mythology, adventure, humor, and unforgettable friendships, then Percy Jackson & The Olympians is the perfect series for you! Written by Rick Riordan, this five-book series takes readers on an action-packed, hilarious, and sometimes heartbreaking journey through a world where the Greek gods are real, and their children—called demigods—live secretly among us.

The Books in the Series

  1. The Lightning Thief – Percy discovers he’s a demigod and goes on his first quest to stop a war between the gods.
  2. The Sea of Monsters – Percy must save his best friend and protect Camp Half-Blood from destruction.
  3. The Titan’s Curse – New allies, dangerous enemies, and a prophecy that changes everything.
  4. The Battle of the Labyrinth – Percy faces an ancient maze full of deadly traps.
  5. The Last Olympian – The final battle against the Titans to save Olympus and the world!

What’s the Story About?

The series follows Percy Jackson, a 12-year-old who struggles in school because of ADHD and dyslexia—but it turns out, these are actually signs that he’s a demigod, the son of Poseidon, the Greek god of the sea!

When Percy is attacked by a Fury (a monster disguised as a teacher!), his mom sends him to Camp Half-Blood, a secret training camp for demigods. There, he meets Annabeth Chase (daughter of Athena) and Grover Underwood (a satyr), and together, they go on their first quest—to recover Zeus’ stolen lightning bolt before the gods go to war.

But that’s only the beginning. Throughout the series, Percy and his friends uncover a terrifying prophecy, fight ancient monsters, face gods and Titans, and try to stop the rise of Kronos, the evil Titan king who wants to destroy Olympus.

The journey is full of twists, betrayals, and epic battles, but what makes it really special is the way Percy never loses his sense of humor, even when he’s fighting for his life!

Why This Series is AMAZING

Percy is the funniest narrator ever! His sarcastic and relatable inner thoughts make even the scariest moments laugh-out-loud funny.

💥 Epic Quests & Battles
Every book has dangerous quests, terrifying monsters, and epic sword fights—but the final battle in The Last Olympian is one of the most intense war scenes in any fantasy book!

👫 Amazing Friendships
Percy, Annabeth, and Grover have one of the best friendships in fantasy. They argue, tease each other, but always have each other’s backs.

💔 Emotional Moments That Hit Hard
Yes, it’s funny, but it also has heartbreaking moments that will make you cry (especially in The Titan’s Curse and The Last Olympian).
